Tobacco Caye bungalow in Belize, Travel Photography
I stayed in this little bungalow on Tobacco Caye in Belize while doing Travel Photography. It was amazing, $35 US a day and included two amazing meals. It was a block or so walk to the water and a very short swim to the coral and beautifully colorful tropical fish. The entire island is surrounded by corral reefs except for a small opening where small boats drop off and pick up island guest. My 14' ish boat captain was "Captain Doggy", he also happened to be the recommended boat captain in my Lonely Planet guide book. It was a smooth ride out to the island, but on the way back we had 10 or higher foot swells. What a ride, the wildest roller coaster I ever took with real danger, the captain handled it like a pro. A lesser captain could have easily had us all swimming and out stuff floating away. Travel photography is an adventure worth doing. Location: Tobacco Caye Belize.
